Subject: Call for Participants: Online Study on Spoken English (~30 Min, Desktop or Mobile)

We are recruiting adult speakers of English for an online study on how
listeners perceive and evaluate spoken English sentences produced by
different speakers. The study is part of a Master’s research project
in Linguistics at the Graduate Program in Language Studies (POSLING),
Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG),
Brazil. It is conducted by Felipe de Paula Marques under the
supervision of Prof. Dr. Cândido Samuel Fonseca de Oliveira, in
collaboration with undergraduate researcher Lívia Rezende de Abreu
(UFLA).
Anyone aged 18 or older who speaks English can take part, at any
proficiency level. No background in linguistics is required.
The study takes about 30 minutes and runs entirely online. It can be
completed on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. You will listen to
short audio clips, rate sentences, and answer a few questions about
the speakers and about your own language background. Please use
headphones.
Participation is voluntary and anonymous, and you may withdraw at any
time. The study was approved by the Brazilian Research Ethics
Committee system (CAAE 98852326.7.0000.8507).

We would be very grateful if you could forward this call to
colleagues, students, and anyone who might be interested, especially
through university mailing lists, language and linguistics
departments, English teaching programs, and international student
offices. Wide circulation helps us reach participants with diverse
linguistic backgrounds.
For questions, or if you would like to know more about the study after
participating, please contact Felipe Marques at
fmarques.contato at gmail.com.
Thank you for your time and support.
