Description:

Expression of interest for a PhD position
We are seeking expressions of interest from prospective PhD students
for a four-year doctoral position at the Department of Foreign
Languages and Linguistics at the National Distance Education
University (UNED), Madrid. The successful candidate will write a
doctoral dissertation on a topic related to either formal
syntax/semantics or language acquisition, especially L2 acquisition.
The successful candidate will enrol in the Doctorate program in
Philology of the UNED.
We are looking for a candidate interested in applying for a Spanish
FPU grant whose research interests fit with the profile of our current
research project Resultatives and Double Object Constructions: Theory
through Acquisition (ref. PID2023-152043NB-100;
https://redo.hypotheses.org), funded by the Spanish Ministry of
Science, Innovation and Universities, or with the research profile of
one of the researchers that participate in the project.
Requirements:
 - A strong background in formal linguistics (syntax and/or
semantics).
 - Interest in experimental linguistics.
 - MA degree by the application deadline.
 - Proficiency in spoken and written English.
 - Knowledge of Spanish is not required at this point but is an asset.
(For candidates with no prior knowledge of Spanish the expectation is
to reach a B2 level in Spanish by the end of the second year.)

prospective applicants. Candidates interested in the position are
