We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 20th Workshop
on Altaic Formal Linguistics (WAFL20). Bringing together scholars from
around the globe, this conference continues its long-standing
tradition of advancing theoretical and experimental research on Altaic
languages.

Description of the Conference:
 WAFL20 invites abstracts for talks (20-minute presentation +
10-minute discussion) or poster presentations on any topic in
theoretical Altaic linguistics. We welcome contributions in phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, as well as work
utilizing experimental and empirical methodologies of theoretical
relevance. The term "Altaic" is understood broadly to cover Turkic,
Mongolic, Tungusic, Japonic, Koreanic, and related languages.
In line with previous meetings, WAFL20 will feature a special focus
section alongside general theoretical topics. This year's thematic
focus is interfaces, how does syntax, prosody and semantics interact
with and feed each other in Altaic languages. Details on keynote
speakers will be regularly updated on our website and Linguistlist.

Abstract Requirements & Submission Guidelines:
- must be anonymous
- at most 2 pages in length, including examples, tables, figures, and
references
- 12pt font and 1 inch margins (US letter) or 2.5 cm margins (A4) on
all four sides
- maximum of two per person, one of which must be co-authored
