We invite you to the eighth International Conference on Rhetoric “Days
of Ivo Škarić” and would be honored if you contributed to its success
by sharing your research findings in the fields of rhetoric,
argumentation theory, stylistics, informal logic, communication
studies, and neighboring disciplines. The conference in honor of the
late Professor Emeritus Ivo Škarić, the most prominent and influential
Croatian expert in rhetoric, has become a biennial meeting point for
experts in the interdisciplinary field of rhetoric.
The 2027 conference will be organized from April 21st to 24th in the
town of Postira, on the beautiful island of Brač, Croatia. The
conference will feature keynote lectures by distinguished European
scholars. We are pleased to confirm that Dr. Olaf Kramer, Professor of
Rhetoric and Knowledge Communication at the Department of General
Rhetoric at the University of Tübingen (Austria), and Dr. Manfred
Kienpointner, retired Professor of General and Applied Linguistics at
the Department of Linguistics of the University of Innsbruck
(Austria), will be our keynote speakers.
