The British Council's "English 2000" futurologist project has commissioned
a report on the potential impact of Speech And Language Technology (SALT)
on English Language Teaching (ELT).  A *DRAFT* of this report is at

This report is inevitably constrained by my limited knowledge of SALT and ELT.
The report is due to be launched next month, for distribution to the ELT
industry worldwide.  If you know of relevant products, case studies, etc
which you think should be mentioned, please let me have details (including
URLs and/or publication references) as soon as possible.
