Dear colleague,
Enclosed we send you some Call for Papers for the Workshop
on "Descriptional Complexity of Automata, Grammars and Related Structures"
in Magdeburg (Germany), July 20-23, 1999.
Note that the dates have been changed since the Workshop on Implementing
Automata (WIA '99), Potsdam (Germany), July 17-19, 1999 has been shifted,
too.
The Workshop on "Descriptional Complexity of Automata, Grammars and
Related Structures" starts five days after finishing ICALP '99 in Prague
(appr. 300 km far from Magdeburg) and the day after finishing WIA '99 in
Potsdam (100 km west from Magdeburg).
Magdeburg founded 1200 years ago is the capital of the German state
Saxony-Anhalt and is situated appr. 120 km west from Berlin at the banks of
the river Elbe. Magdeburg has the oldest German gothic cathedral,
is the start and end point of the Romanic Street (one of the historic
main attractions of Saxony-Anhalt), is famous for its parks and gardens and
is the host of the German Federal Garden Show '99 (which is part of the
social program of the workshop).
We invite you to participate in and to contribute to the workshop.
Juergen Dassow (Magdeburg)
Detlef Wotschke (Frankfurt)

capital of the German state Saxony-Anhalt. Magdeburg is located 130 km
