Dear Colleagues,

Given the recent cancelation of ICASSP'03, the Eurospeech'2003
Organizing Committee decided to slightly extend the paper submission
deadline until Sunday, April 6, midnight. Please, be aware though that
there will be no further extension and that this is the actual final
submission deadline! This should thus give you the opportunity to
publish updated results related to a planned ICASSP presentation. Of
course, this is not an invitation to re-submit the same paper (which
is "illegal", and will be closely checked), but to offer you an
opportunity to present an updated/enhanced version of it.

Also, I think that there were 2 ICASSP special sessions related to
speech processing. Of course, again, papers have been published and
cannot be "re-cycled". However, if you feel like you missed the
opportunity for discussions, etc, and if you believe that the
community could benefit from a special session on the same topic at
Eurospeech, please let me know. Again, this possibility will be
considered at the sole condition that papers would present updated
information. Eurospeech special sessions have been selected already
and are currently adverstised on the Eurospeech web site, but we would
see together what we could do to help you organize this.

Best regards,

--Herve Bourlard

We encourage proposals for half-day pre-conference tutorials.
Between 4 and 8 tutorials will be offered on August 31, 2003.
Those interested in organizing a tutorial should send a one-page
description to Andrzej Drygajlo (andrzej.drygajlo at epfl.ch),
with cc to organisers at eurospeech2003.org by January 15.

SPECIAL SESSIONS

Eurospeech 2003 also welcomes proposals for special sessions.
Each special session should consist of 6 invited papers.
The topics of the special sessions should be important,
new, emerging areas of interest to the signal processing community,
yet have little overlap with the regular sessions.
They could also be those investigated by members of other societies
that are becoming of keen interest to the speech and language
community. See the Eurospeech'03 web page at
