7èmes Journées internationales d'Analyse statistique des Données
Textuelles

Les journées internationales d'analyse des données textuelles (JADT)
permettent à des chercheurs travaillant dans les différents domaines
concernés par les traitements automatiques et statistiques de données
textuelles de se rencontrer tous les deux ans afin de confronter leurs
expériences. Après les rencontres de Barcelone (1990), Montpellier
(1993), Rome (1995), Nice (1998), Lausanne (2000) et St Malo (2002),
les JADT 2004 de Louvain-la-Neuve réuniront, du 10 au 12 mars 2004,
statisticiens, linguistes, sociologues, spécialistes d'analyse du
discours, informaticiens, spécialistes de lexicographie et
d'explorations de données textuelles.

Notification des acceptations aux auteurs : décembre 2003
Version finale des articles : 15 janvier 2004
Conférence : 10 - 12 mars 2004

Langues pour les présentations

Les articles, les communications et les présentations pourront être
réalisés dans les langues suivantes:

- Français
- Anglais
- Italien

Ils devront contenir un résumé en anglais et en français. Aucune
traduction ne sera proposée durant les conférences.

Modalités de soumission

Les articles soumis devront décrire un travail original et novateur.
Les contributions devront contenir un état de l'art et des références
à des travaux antérieurs pertinents. Les participants souhaitant
soumettre une communication ou une communication affichée (poster)
doivent envoyer une première version de leur contribution à Gérald
Purnelle par voie électronique (gerald.purnelle at ulg.ac.be), avant le
31 octobre 2003. Cette version comprendra :

- le titre de la communication
- les noms, affiliations et adresses complètes (+fax, email) des
auteurs
- les mots-clés
- une première version de leur communication (8 pages maximum)
- un résumé dans la langue de communication choisie
- un résumé en anglais (300 mots maximum)
- les références bibliographiques

Actes

Les papiers acceptés seront publiés sous la formes d'actes et
distribués aux
participants au début de la conférence.

Data
Louvain-la-Neuve: 10, 11 and 12 March 2004


Call for papers

Following Barcelona (1990), Montpellier (1993), Rome (1995), Nice
(1998), Lausanne (2000), Saint-Malo (2002) the 7th International
Conference on the Statistical Analysis of Textual Data will be held in
Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), on March 10-12, 2004. This biennial
conference, which has constantly been gaining in importance since its
first occurrence, is open to all scholars working in the vast field of
textual data analysis; ranging from lexicography to the analysis of
political discourse, from documentary research to marketing research,
from computational linguistics to sociolinguistics, from the
processing of data to content analysis.  After the success of the
previous meetings, the three-day conference in Belgium will continue
to provide a workshop-style forum through technical paper sessions,
invited talks, and panel discussions.

Languages for the presentations

Submissions, communications and presentations can be made in any one
of these languages :

- French
- English
- Italian

All communications and presentations must contain an English abstract.
As in the previous meetings, no translation will be provided.

Submission

Submissions should be limited to original, evaluated work. All papers
should include background survey and/or reference to previous
work. The authors should provide explicit explanation when there is no
evaluation in their work. We encourage the authors to include in their
papers proposals and discussions of the relevance of their work to the
theme of the conference.  Participants wishing to submit a paper or
present a poster should send to Gérald Purnelle
(gerald.purnelle at ulg.ac.be) a short version for review by October
31th, 2004, giving the following information :

Title of the proposed paper
- Name of authors, affiliations and full postal address with fax
and/or e-mail
- Keywords
- A first version of the paper (8 pages max.)
- An abstract in the language of the paper
- An abstract in English (maximum 300 words)
- Bibliographical references.

Proceedings

All accepted papers will be collected and issued as proceedings to the
participants at the start of the conference.
