Projets: KTweb

I would like to draw your attention to KTweb, a key initiative of the
MULTIPLE project, which is an Accompanying Measure to the European
Commission's IST Programme. KTweb's goal is to provide a broad
community-building and awareness-raising service for knowledge,
content and media technologies, as well as bringing together the
European projects and people from research, academia and business,
offering them KT-related information and resources on a global level.

KTweb services are free of charge. We would welcome your online
registration at www.ktweb.org/uregister.cfm. Our various services
include:

    a weekly e-mail digest, containing KT-related news and events;
    a quarterly newsletter
    a document repository, with articles, reports, white papers, etc.;
    a searchable community directory, listing experts and key players
from research and
    industry;
    a project directory, with detailed listings of a variety of
KT-oriented EC projects;
    and many more, such as a product showcase, technology factsheets,
etc.

KTweb is currently soliciting submissions in the following categories:

- Articles on perspective areas, e.g. Semantic Web, Ontology, Web
Services, GRID computing, Multimedia retrieval, Information
visualisation, Knowledge representation, Agent technologies, and
Concept maps/semantic networks;

- Case Studies - either of a successful transition of research project
results to commercial exploitation, or of successful
commercial/industrial applications of KT;

- Technology Fact Sheets addressing a specific area of KT, with an
outline of the area and a brief description of the specific
technology, its actual or potential uses, past and current research
activity, issues to be addressed, relationships with other areas,
commercial and product activity, future prospects, and so on.
