             Preliminary Call for paper for RECITAL 2005
                             RÉCITAL 2005

Under the auspices of the ATALA (Association pour le Traitement
Automatique des Langues/Natural Language Processing Association)

Held jointly with TALN 2005.

RECITAL 2005 is the student conference associated with TALN
2005. RECITAL 2005 will be held in Fontainebleau, a wonderful place in
the south of Paris, France. RECITAL is dedicated to innovative
researches from PhD students, or researchers having recently obtained
a Ph.D in the field of natural language processing.


Themes of the Conference

Non-exhaustive list of themes :

o Text analysis and understanding (Morphology, Syntax, Semantics)
o Discourse Processing
o Natural Language Generation
o Machine Translation
o Summary Generation
o Human-Machine Dialogue
o Logics for Natural Language Processing
o NLP dedicated architectures
o Time and Space semantics
o Interface between NLP and Speech Recognition
o Machine Learning for NL
o Knowledge and resource acquisition
o Linguistic resources
o Lexical semantics (polysemy, categorization, etc.)
o NLP for Information retrieval
o Cognitive approaches for NLP

The list is not restrictive. The relevance of other proposals to the
conference will be assessed by the program committee.

The language of the conference is French. Contributions written in
English will be allowed for non French speakers.

Paper submission deadline : january, 2005

Notification of acceptance : march, 2005

Camera-Ready version : april, 2005
