Second International Symposium on Semantic Mining in Biomedicine
(SMBM) April 9-12 2006 at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Germany
The second symposium on Semantic Mining in Biomedicine is organised by
the EU Network of Excellence Semantic Mining
http://www.semanticmining.org/ and the Jena University Language and
Information Engineering Laboratory. The aim of this symposium is to
bring together the communities of molecular biology and genomics,
chemo-informatics and pharma-informatics, text and data mining for
biomedicine, medical informatics, and biological ontology design and
engineering.
We invite submissions for posters for the following topics:
* Text mining
* Information extraction
* Information retrieval
* Ontology design
* Terminology processing
* Evaluation techniques and standards
* Integration of text and data mining
* Annotation schemes for biomedical text mining
* Text mining for ontology and terminology building
Posters should present work in progress, project status reports,
unevaluated results or system summaries. All posters will be included
in the symposium proceedings. All posters will be evaluated by the PC
members of SMBM. The reviewing of the posters will *not* be blind.
The authors of the posters will have the possibility to present their
work during the symposium (in a 7 minutes talk) and expose their
poster in a poster session.

Please use either the LaTeX style files or the Microsoft word
equivalents.
Electronic submissions should be sent no later than the 18th February
2006 to Dr Juliane Fluck (Juliane.Fluck at scai.fraunhofer.de).
