Summary
You will be responsible for developing and testing programs for
computer dialogue systems that underlie a speech and graphics
interface for an artificial companion. Applicants must have a good
first degree plus a PhD (or be working towards PhD), or have
equivalent relevant experience. Experience in programming (preferably
in Java) as well as some experience of Machine Learning (preferably in
dialogue modelling), sentiment analysis or cognitive modelling is also
essential. This post is available immediately and is initially for one

Summary
You will assist in developing and testing programs for a computer
dialogue system that underlies a speech and graphics interface for an
artificial companion. Applicants will work as part of a team and be
able to carry out the implementation of algorithms and software
designed by senior researchers and academics. Applicants must have a
good first degree or have equivalent relevant experience. Experience
in programming (preferably in Java) as well as some experience of
Machine Learning (preferably in dialogue modelling), sentiment
analysis or cognitive modelling is also desirable. The post could be
held part-time in conjunction with study for a Sheffield PhD. This
post is available immediately and is initially for one year,
