Connaissances dans les Données (EvalECD)
organisé dans le cadre de la dixième conférence EGC, Hammamet, Tunisie,

Après le succès de la première édition de l'atelier Evaluation des
méthodes d'Extraction de Connaissances dans les Données -EvalECD à
Strasbourg en association avec la conférence EGC 2009 - nous proposons
d'organiser la seconde édition de l'atelier EvalECD à Hammamet en
conjonction avec la dixième conférence EGC (26-29 janvier 2010).
 
L'objectif de cet atelier est de discuter des techniques d'évaluation
utilisées dans différents domaines et de montrer leurs qualités et
leurs limites. Un tel atelier ouvert aux différentes communautés d'EGC
permet de compléter et/ou généraliser les travaux présentés dans des
ateliers très spécifiques (par exemple, ateliers de TIA'05, COLING'08
en Traitement Automatique des Langues). Cet atelier permettra ainsi de
proposer un début de solutions aux problèmes occasionnés par la
diversité des évaluations en ECD.

A la suite de cet atelier, la préparation d'un numéro spécial de la
revue RNTI est envisagée.

* Validation de connaissances en ECD

* Notification aux auteurs : 20 décembre 2009

Modalités de soumission
=======================

Les articles soumis peuvent être rédigés en français ou en anglais,
sur environ 12 pages incluant toutes les références et les
figures. Les articles pourront être beaucoup plus courts, en
particulier pour les articles présentant un travail qui débute.

Les soumissions se feront au format PDF. Le format requis pour les
actes de l'atelier EvalECD'10 (latex uniquement) est le suivant :

2010)

After the success of the first workshop of Evaluation of Knowledge
Discovery Methods -EvalECD, in conjunction with the 9th EGC
conference, we propose to organize the second edition of the EvalECD
workshop, in conjunction with the 10th EGC conference (26-29 January
2010).

The workshop aims at discussing the evaluation techniques that are
used in different domains and showing the advantages and the drawbacks
of these techniques. Such a workshop, open to different communities of
EGC conference, allows enriching and/or generalizing works that are
presented in more specific workshops (e.g. TIA'05 and COLING'08 on
Automatic Language Processing). This workshop will offer the
opportunity to propose first solutions for the problems caused by the
variation of evaluation techniques of knowledge discovery and data
integration.

Following this workshop, we plan to prepare a special issue of RNTI
journal from a selection of good papers of the EvalECD workshop.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following

Format and Submission

Papers could be written in French or in English and they should be at
