*Post Summary*

*Trinity College Dublin is inviting applications for the post of
Postdoctoral researcher to work with a team in the Speech Communication
Lab to develop a commercially viable software application. The
successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and testing
the software.  Key responsibilities will include design and
implementation of certain signal analysis process in an object
orientated programming framework; capture and processing of audio data
for development and testing purposes; iterative development based on
testing feedback. He/she will work closely with the PI and other team
members with the ultimate goal of developing and deploying a robust and
commercially viable piece of software*

*Background to the Post*

*The Speech Communication Lab is a new, dynamic lab in the Centre for
Language and Communication Studies at Trinity College Dublin. The SCL is
active in a number of interesting and innovative research areas. One
such area, Social Signal Processing, is of particular interest. The SCL
aims to develop tools and methods to utilize these signals to improve
human computer interaction and develop more socially aware technology.*

*· Developing a software application based on research of the PI and
   research team*

*· Writing reports on the development process and outcomes*

*· Testing developed software and modifying based on feedback from user
   testing*

*· Recording audio for development and testing purposes in aviation
   training*
