The Symposium is open to all. After a peer reviewing process, 7 papers
of PhD students have been selected for a presentation of their work and
comments by a privileged advisor (a mentor). These papers give a good
insight on tomorrows' hot topics in knowledge engineering research.

9h-10h : Invited talk by Michael Hausenblas "A compass for (applied) 
research"
Abstract: Often, while finalizing a PhD thesis, we often contemplate if
an academic career is the better choice for us, or if we'd be a better
fit for industrial types of work. With this talk, Michael revisits some
of his early works and experiences and tries the make the case for a
compass for research - how to be successful *and* happy in research, no
matter if carried out in an academic setting or in a rather applied
environment.
