===========================================================
We invite submissions to the *Student Mentoring forum* to be held at the
eHealth evaluation lab at the CLEF 2014 conference in Sheffield, UK,
15-19 September 2014.
The Student Mentoring Forum is aimed at post-graduate students who would
like to present and get feedback on their on-going research related to
the multidisciplinary ShARe/CLEF eHealth tracks or other related areas
such as:
a) evaluation of mono- and multilingual methods, applications and
resources for eHealth document analysis;
b) development of statistical and user-feedback based evaluation
protocols, settings, methods and measures for cross-language
evaluation of methods, applications, and resources for eHealth
document analysis.
Work in progress and/or tentative research plans in these research areas
are especially welcomed.
Students of each accepted submission will be assigned a senior
researcher from the student mentoring committee who will provide
students with personal feedback on their submission. Mentors may be
assigned with expertise in areas complementary to the student's main
area of study. Students are invited to suggest areas of their research
for which they would specifically like expert comment.
Each accepted paper will be presented at a poster session at the eHealth
Evaluation Lab sessions at CLEF 2014, which will offer further
opportunity for mentors' feedback, and questions & answers between
students and senior academics. Short abstracts of accepted papers will
also be included in the CLEF eHealth lab working notes.
