Dear Richard and Sandy,

Thank you for your comments.

Thinking about it, I suppose it isn't that surprising. In fact my mother's
maiden name was Turner, leading to considerable confusion at my parents'
wedding as you can imagine.

Perhaps we could revert to a medieval precedent and call each other
according to where we are from. I live in Valladolid, Spain and would be
happy to style myself "Richard of Valladolid". Not of course, that I make
any claims to noble origins!

On the other hand if the College of Arms could run me up an escutcheon, it
would certainly make an original way of signing an email.
