Hello,
In Holland we have special flagholders which are used by three kinds of people:
1) People who celebrate the queens and her husbands birthday (+ the crownprince)
2) People who 'halfmast' on the 4th of May (remembrance day for the casualties
in '40-45) and joyfully on the 5th of May; that's when we celebrate the
liberation
of Holland by the allied troops
3) People who take part in all the activities.
The latest is that we also remember/celebrate the events in Indonesia during
WWII
(5th of August I think).
We buy these flagholders in hardware stores. An orange ribbon is tied to the
flag when
one also celebrates anything connected to the house of Orange.
