Subject: Online resources

Dear Lowlanders,

I imagine that quite a few of you would be interested in a special "Minority
Course" offered at Højskolen Østersøen (Baltic Sea College) in
Åbenrå/Apenrade, just north of the Danish-German border, i.e., in the
multilinguistic (Danish, Southern Jutish, Low Saxon/Low German, German, North
Frisian) borderland.  This program has been attended by "young" people from
all over Europe, many of them members of ethnic and/or linguistic minorities.
European minority language issues seem to be featured prominently in the
curriculum, and there is also frequent mention of the languages we consider
"Lowlandic."  Furthermore, being located in the city of Åbenrå/Apenrade that
considers itself the Danish springboard to Germany (thus the Danish equivalent
of the German city of Flensburg/Flensborg), there appears to be some emphasis
on learning within a cross-border context.
