1. Limburgish.

The municipality of Stokkem in Belgian Limburg will, starting May 20th,
replace it's street name panels (in Dutch) by bi-lingual Dutch-Limburgish
panels. (Het Belang van Limburg, May 4th, 2000)
The Limburgish version is rather the locally used name than a translation
from Dutch. A couple of samples:

2. Brabantish

Today I received the introductory volume to the third series of volumes of
the dictionnary of Brabantish dialects. The regional subdivision of
Brabantish variants is illustrated by a new map and a list of the
municipalities, giving the area each of them belogs to.

Here follows the classification:

10      Noord-West Brabants
11 __Markizaats__ (Bergen-op-Zoom area, province of Noord Brabant, Nl)
12 __Baronies__ (Breda, p. Noord-Brabant, Nl; Hoogstraten, p. Antwerpen, B)
13 __Antwerps__ (Antwerpen, province of Antwerpen, B)

20      Midden-Noord-Brabants
21 __Tilburgs__ (from the SW of 's Hertogenbosch, p. N. Brabant, Nl to
Weelde, p. Antwerpen, B)

Marginal varieties at Brabant's borders:
60 __Getelands__ (Tienen area, SE of Vlaams-Brabant, B; actually this area
is below the ik-ich isogloss and has the Gete river as linguistic border
with the Limburgish area; the area corresponds to the old duchy of Brunegeruz)
70 __Westhoeks__ (small area in the NW of N. Branant, Nl, adjacent to
Zeeland and S Holland)
80 __Cuijks__ (NE of N. Brabant, N., merges with the Kleverländisch area in
N. Limburg, Nl)
90 __Budels__ (N. Brabant, Nl, adjacrent to the N of Belgian Limburg)
