Beste Cristoir, Stefan, Laaglanders

I wrote something rather dumb, to which Stefan
responded:
"Cristoir is looking beyond inherited Ingveonic/North
Sea Germanic elements, elements going back to the
400's or earlier. He's looking for subsequent
interaction between these languages as well. The
development of the "self" word as _selm_, _sem_ etc.
is an example of possible interaction coming long
after the Ingveonic languages diverged."

Would it please be possible to post some more
information and data (and dates) about this thread?

A contributing factor may have been my choice of "Shared features" as a thread
title.  This may have steered you into that direction.  If so, I apologize.
Like Cristoir, I was at first not sure what title to choose.  It was Stefan's
message that reminded me that "language contacts" was probably what Cristoir
had in mind.
