The presumption of specifically Danish words as the basis for Norn is
questionable, especially when doing it on the foundation of the better
documented, and still spoken, Faeroese.  West Norwegian is the basis for
Faeroese and Norn, but it important to rember that Zetland and Orkney
were ceded to King James III of Scotland by 1469, whereas the Faeroes
have been politically allied with Danmark continuously since the Danes
conquered Norway.  It is unfortunate that we have so little of Norn left
(and I haven't run across any Norn word translating to "forget"), but
I'd suggest looking to Old West Norwegian rather than Danish as the
probable source of Norn words.
