Subject: Low German Versions of some hymns

Many years ago I was part of a choir program, and we had a concert date in
a certain church.  I picked up a program from a previous concert and found
the Low German words to a well known High German hymn "Ich Weiss Einen
Strom."  In Low German it was given the title "Ekj Weet Eene Strom."

Just for the fun of it, I thought I'd try my hand at translating this hymn
from High German to Low German.  It didn't work too well.  Some of the
rhymes didn't work anymore.  So I was wondering if some one with a better
command of the language than I have has made translations of some hymns
into Low German.  Some of the titles I'm looking for are:

Stille Nacht, Heilige Nact
O Du Seelige, O Du Fröliche
Nun Ist Sie Erschienen
Ich Weiss Einen Strom.

And if there are any others, I'd be glad to get them, too.

Jim,

Going by "the title "Ekj Weet Eene Strom"," I take it that by "Low German" you
are specifically referring to the Mennonite dialects ("Plautdietsch").  Or do
you include the other dialects?
