There was once a very old couple named Brown who, though hitherto
childless, found themselves by some miracle with child.  When the child was
born, they named it Amazing.

Amazing went through life just hating his name, and insisted that people
just call him Brown, including his wife, whom he carefully instructed to
just put "Brown" on his tombstone.

When Brown passed on, his wife honored his request, only adding the words,
"Here lies Brown, never looked at another woman."

And people passing by simply said, "Amazing!"
