Dear Lowlanders,

I am pleased to welcome a few new subscribers, from Australia, Belarus, the
Netherlands, and the United States.

I am also pleased that quite a few former subscribers have returned to the
fold lately.  Welcome back, folks!

Lastly, it is pleasing to know that quite a number of newcomers have expressed
an interest in Zeelandic (Zeêuws).  I encourage you to ask or write about it
and/or to use it in your postings, like all other Lowlands language
varieties.  At any rate, please do not feel shy or intimidated.

This is an opportune moment to remind you -- *all* of you with the exception
of a few who have gained perfect proficiency by way of frequent-poster miles
-- that there are rules and guidelines with regard to unsubscribing, changing
subscriptions, and posting messages.  I expect you to familiarize yourselves
with these and follow them.  You will find them here:

The most frequent mistakes are (1) not giving the writers first and last
names, (2) not following subject lines, (3) not keeping subjects apart, (4)
not crediting originators when quoting, and (5) insufficient editing in
replies.  Please work of this.
