No problem, Sandy. Since the new bridge helps you cross from one side of
the
burn to the other, at that point, you should boldly call it the Side
Burn.
Or, if that point is located right in the middle of Puddle Burn and
Howden
Burn, it should be referred to as Heart Burn. Unless you have ever hurt
your
toe when crossing the bridge, in which case I recommend naming it Stub
Burn.
