Well, the different Frisian varieties are quite different on this point.

Westerlauwer Frisian (mainland "mainstream" dialects) have a 2-way
system
comparable
to Dutch: _de_ for former M/F (and plural), and _it_ for N. (article,
the
pronoun system (this/that etc).
The Hindeloopen/Hylpen dialect and the Schiermonnikoog/Skiermuontseach
dialect
have a 2-way system in the article, but a 3-way system in the pronouns:
jo
tjark = that church (F) on Schiermonnikoog. (vs dy man= that man).
This is a relic from the Old Frisian distinction "thiu" vs "thi".

The East Frisian Seelter variety still has a 3 way system: di, ju, dät.

Main land north Frisian has a 3-way system too: eg Frasch/Mooring di,
jü,
dåt

Island North Frisian: Halunder/Helgolandic 2 way (M/F) vs N.
Föhr-Amrum/Fering-Oomram has another 2-way system: M vs F/N
(the old N form has overtaken the F form).
