To talk of this in terms of wasting money is really to beg the
question. Anyway, if cost had been an issue (which it wasn't)
in the signage for the Scottish Parliament, the cost would easily
have been met by personal donations from language activists and
other well-wishers.

As to whether the Scottish people "feel a need" for this, the
decision wasn't ours to make, unfortunately.
