From: Sylvain Lavoie <elisabeth-sylvain at sympatico.ca>
Subject: Rivier, Rivière, River
To : Wim and Peter
"Rivier van de Wolf" was suggested by a Dutch translator ;
"River of the Wolf" was by an American linguist.
The Dutch thinks "Rivier van de Wolf" translates a little more
faithfully
than "Wolfsrivier".
The American thinks "River of the Wolf" translate the meaning better
than
"Wolf's River". "Wolf River" (without the 's) was excluded by him.
But this list is not about English translation.
If you want to develop on this, write to me directly instead.
