The same for me...the IPA symbols didn't show, as for the Chinese and
Japanese.
Also, because my e-mail program is web-based, I have to open each message in
a
new window in order to be able to change the view to Unicode and see all the
special characters. It's not such a big deal, but now I can't even
read 'simple' ö's and ä's without changing the message coding each single
time.
So Unicode does have a downside too :-)
