[The following is in Scots and in English]
The latest addition tae the ScotsteXt site is a Scots Haiku Makar!
Tho no juist as guid as Basho nor even Burns, it'll scribble
oot ten haiku at ae sneckin, a sicht faster than baith thae
poets pitten thegither!
A daur say this ane's nae better than ony ither haiku generator,
tho it dis big up its lines a wird at a time, keepin a coont o
syllables the hale time sae's tae shup weel-formed classical
haiku wi a sicht mair flexibility than thae generators that
juist pits twathree phrases thegither.
It's no bad wi grammar, an I'll be extendin this an its vocabular
aa the time (sae keep a ee on't!), but the semantics depends on
naething ayont a body cannin apply their imagination tae the
interpretation o the ootpit!

The latest addition to the ScotsteXt site is a Scots Haiku Writer!
While lacking in the imagery of Basho or the humanity of Burns,
it will happily churn oot ten haiku per mouseclick, much faster
than any human poet!
It's probably no better than any other haiku generator, although
it does build up its lines word by word, keeping track of syllables
as it goes, so as to create well-formed classical haiku with more
flexibility than those generators work by combining predetermined
phrases.
It's quite good with (classical Scots) grammar, and I'll be
extending this and its vocabulary comtinuously (so pay a visit
every now and again!), but the semantics depends entirely on
the readers' interpretative abilities!
