Well, Mike, to put my two cents in, I'd have to lean towards Dutch. Russian
would, of course, be the more "logical"choice as it is an "up and coming"
business language, however, maybe I'm oversimplifying, but frankly you can
learn Russian anywhere - Russian language courses are offered much more
frequently and in many more places than they were say ten years ago.

Dutch on the other hand, you don't find offered in very many places, and if
you have an opportunity to take it by way of formal instruction, personally,
I'd choose Dutch over Russian if for the only reason that there may be
plenty of other places to learn Russian, but not very many to learn Dutch.
Seize the opportunity while you have it!

I'd go with Russian and I am Dutch! First, if you really love
Lowland languages and Dutch in particular, you will find the
time to learn it at some point in your life anyway. And then
there is a good chance that, like me, you might find that you
love Russian, too. I studied Russian quite extensively while
in college, and though it has become very rusty after decades
of neglect, still knowing the principles of a Slavonic language
has changed and widened my perspective of languages as a whole.
