The delivery problem with Hotmail account continues.  Some subscribers
with Hotmail accounts seem to receive their LL-L messages, while mail to
others bounces back.  I assume that one of the possible problems is that
the company has introduced a bulk mail filter that classifies LL-L
mailings as bulk mail and thus blocks them from accounts that have this
filter turned on and do not list LL-L as an exception.  However, there
seems to be another problem.  I have privately written to all LL-Lers
with Hotmail accounts and have requested pointers, but no one has
responded.  So see if I care!  Bounced mail will eventually result in
unsubscription, and that's that.

Many new subscribers (and some not so new ones) are not sure about the
rules of posting and subscription.  I ask these persons to read them:

We are still looking for help with our series of Lowlands language
varieties introductions.  We definitely need writers for the Afrikaans
and Zeelandic blurbs, and we could do with some translation help,
especially into French.  Please write to me (sassisch at yahoo.com) if you
are interested.  We would also welcome brief introductions to specific
language varieties, e.g., Indian English, Malaysian-Singaporean English,
South African English, and all sorts of actual "contact languages"
(i.e., pidgins, creoles, and other types of "mixed" languages).  You
need not be actual specialists in these areas to be able to write about
these varieties.  All we need are brief, simple but accurate
introductions that can be understood by most web surfers.
