Dag Fiete en Lowlanders,

In het  (Zuid)Nederlands gebruiken wij nog regelmatig het woordje
"ruwweg" in die betekenis .

Nu in het (West)Vlaams:
ruwe=roeis=ruwte=rui=ruide=rude=weistre...D=ruimte, genoeg plaats
hebben rond en boven je.
Ik weet niet of een 'link' gelegd kan worden met jouw woorden
hierboven..

Haai almal,

Marco, ouer mense, (my pa byvoorbeeld) spreek
__grofweg_  nog steeds uit as gutturale [hrofweg]
soos jy dit beskryf. Ek dink die Zeeuse invloed
is dus nog steeds opvallend.

Ek self gebruik die _rofweg_ en spreek dit uit as
/r0vEx/
0= soos in Duits - komm!
