Beste liëglanners,
As to what the pronunciation is concerned of a long o, I'd like to point out
that an _uuë_ realization ("y" sound) can only be marginally called
Brabantish. Indeed, the extreme southwestern corner of Brabant (including
Brussels) has this feature, but this should rather be viewed as the
extension of a much larger southeastern Flemish region (Ghent and Ronse for
example) where this characteristic originated.
The large majority of Brabantish speakers use a quite open _oeë_ sound
instead, much like in Afrikaans or in West-Flemish.
