Hi Sid;
Sorry about the slow response.
I put the question to some other forums. Absolutely no consensus on which
language would be best for computers. Quite a parochial group(computer
geeks). Kenneth Rhode's response was very typical among the discussion
groups that is...computers are so fast that if they are used for
translation, the time/resources used is irrelevant.
My opinion hasn't changed. However, some languages/semaphores that are
better for electro-mechanical computers would include Turk(c) or the
American Navajo 'code talker'. My opinion is based on the structure of the
languages rather than on usage. Any language must be adapted to the
computer communication protocol.
