Here are some paires of "opposed" geographically adjacent municipalities:
In the North of Belgian Limburg
Overpelt - Neerpelt
Opoeteren - Neeroeteren
Opglabbeek - Neerglabbeek
In the South of Belgian Limburg
Opkanne - Neerkanne
Overrepen - Neerrepen
Opheers - Batsheers
(just on the language border: "bats" comes from the French "bas", in
Limburgish though "bats" signifies "buttock", or "bil" in Dutch)
In Brabant
Opheylissem - Neerheylissem
Opvelp - Neervelp
Overijse - Neerijse
