(a lang time since) bi tha name o "King" Koning and they bide in Uitgeest in
Noord-Holland. Ah've been ower tae Uitgeest an Aimsterdam gie often ower tha
last few year, and hae a deep fondness fur tha kintra an tha fowk. Ah'd like

Siccarly, lairnin Dutch canna be ower diffeecult for a speaker o Scots.  Ye
can pronoonce maist o the soonds awreadies, many wirds are eith tae ken, an
there's nae "muckle grammar."  Whan ye win at a certaint level (nae lang
efter ye've stairtet) ye can stairt tae uise Dutch-only resoorces wi ane or
twa dictionars on the side.

An whan ye unnerstaund Dutch, ye'll unnerstaund a heap o Zeelandic,
Afrikaans an Laich Saxon an aw!  :)
