The standard Dutch use of "daarom" also includes the meaning
"nonetheless, nevertheless".

Ik weet dat hij een goede schrijver is, zijn boeken kan ik daarom nog
niets aan vinden.
(I know he is a good writer, his books I can't like nonetheless).

As imported Zeeuw the Zeeuws use of "daerom" hasn't been that strange to
me.

In WF "de^rom" can be the same. The Frysk-Nederla^nsk dictionary by
Fryske Akademy gives for example:

Ik stim net, mar it is my de^rom net like folle!
I don't vote, but it is nevertheless not that I don't care!

Might we be a step closer to saying that Afrikaans has the same word
lexicalized twice with different meanings, coming from two sources: Dutch
_daarom_ 'therefore', Zeelandic _darem_ 'after all', 'at least'?
