Correct me if I am mistaken, but wouldn't the terms "Ingvaeonic" and/or
"North Sea Germanic" cover this concept? This linguistic group is generally
take to consist of Old English (and decedents) and Old Frisian (and
decedents) so I would assume (albeit perhaps incorrectly) that Old Saxon
would fit within it as well. Or is the term you are seeking to cover only
Old Saxon and Old English/Anglo-Saxon (as daughters of a "proto-Saxon") and
exclude Old Frisian?
