Hi Bill,
This final "n" is not much of a problem. You just have the  choise to
say the words with or without the "n".
Most of the people from "Nederland" do not use the final "n". Most of
the people of "Vlaanderen" do use the final "n".
With "Staaten Eylandt" i think everybody will use the "n" just to put
the two words together in an easy way.
