Dear Jason,
Thanks a lot for your answer!
Unfortunately both references are impossible to get hold of in our library,
but I have found Rajend Mesthrie's 'Language in South Africa' at Amazon for
a reasonable price and decided to buy it. The 'Dictionary of South African
English on Historical Principles' is really too expensive (prices are around
300 euros). I'll keep that one on my 'wishlist'!
I have learned a lot about South African English and its different
influences since I started my research and it is really a fascinating topic!
Thanks again,
Mieke
