Hello LLs: Just a side bar note to the UKers.  For some time we've been
shown a series of BBC-America comedies on our local PBS TV.  They are
hilarious and warm-hearted.  I bring them up since they have been very
instructive towards my learning a plethora of English slang and
colloquialisms.  I have compiled a long list of them. Movies are a great
medium for language learning.  Sam
