resources and a lady from Mecklenburg. Ron, please write what you wrote in

Before the lady can use the language she has to learn it, since for German
speakers it is a foreign language, albeit a relatively closely related one.
We'd first have to know if the lady actually appreciates the language and
wishes to learn it (which is not a given).  If she does, you could search
for teaching material.  I can only think of the following works at the
moment:

Wiggers, Julius (1857); _Grammatik der plattdeutschen Sprache: in Grundlage
der Mecklenburgisch-Vorpommerschen Mundart_; Leipzig (Germany): Friedrich
Voldmar.  (Very old!)

Herrmann-Winter, Renate (1986); _Kleines plattdeutsches Wörterbuch: für den
mecklenburgisch-vorpommerschen Sprachraum_; Neumünster (Germany): Wachholtz.
