Ron,
I don't always read every post. Are you and the list aware of this site?

[English below]
Wees veelmaal bedankt, John. Ik wüss vun dey syd noch niks.
Nu mut ik daar noch wat tou-boddern:
Dat is 'n kommercielle saak. Up-nömen köönt wy eer as 'n born vör
"Platt"-saken, man 'n groot weeswark schullen wy daar nich över maken.
Vulstendig is dat anbot nich; t.b. is Renate Wüstenberg eer översetten vun
Shakespeare syn sonetten nich mit daar by.
'n Paar saken sünd wat snaaksch. Hyr 'n byspeel: ünner "Plattdüütsch
Spraak" nöömt sey 'n bouk over dat Süüd-Jüytsche ("Plattdänisch") up ...
Wat schal dat bedüyden? Wourüm hebt sey keyn rubryk so as “Annere Saken” --
or slichtweg 'n rubryk mit naam "Spraak"?
John draws our attention to a site offering "all things 'Platt'" (Lowlands
Saxon, "Low German," of Germany). Its name: Plattschapp. (_Schap_
'cupboard', 'armoir', '(book)case') Since it is a commercial site, we can
mention it as a resource but can't make a big deal about it on this list.
I added the comment that the offering is anything but complete (e.g., not
offering the translation of Shakespeare’s sonnets by Renate Wüstenberg).
Nor does everything make sense, such as listing a book about Southern Jutish
("Plattdänisch" = "Low Danish" ... used in both Denmark and Germany) under
"Plattdüütsch Spraak" along with books in and about Lowlands Saxon.
Kumpelmenten/Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
