Subject: Help needed

Greetings,

First of all thank you for your previous help concerning matters in Low
Saxon.

I am a Ph.D. candidate (University of Montreal) working on the translations
of
the Kalevala -- so far much has been found =) -- but I am also doing
research
on translations in India.

The focus is translations from Indian languages INTO European languages
BEFORE
1850. I have already covered substantial terrain concerning Scandinavian
languages, along with French and English but I have to admit I cannot leave
a
single stone unturned for Lowland languages.

P.S. Thanks to A. Van Der Hoeven, who has done research on the Dutch
translations of the Kalevala, I now know that there is not a single
published
Dutch version of the Finnish epic done directly from Finnish language,
although
one full translation of the New Kalevala has been done directly from Finnish
into Plattdüütch by the honorable Herbert Strehmel, in Hamburg, about 3
years
ago.
