Subject: Linguitics: Scots accent Rules OK

I just received a copoy of the Summer 2003 edition of the American magazine
'Scots Life'. Excellent producion short on garbage and filled with facts one
of which makes me very proud to be Scots.
It seems that AOL conducted an Internet Survey of its UK subscribers last
Valentine's Day enquiring which Regional Accent was the most sexy, Delighted
to report that 40% of the 1000 replies opted for Scots leaving Irish a poor
second. Dunno how the plummy Home Counties accent rated.
