Sirs:
In Lancashire they say : "Yay and Nay".
They do in my part of that county, anyroad!
Problem is, normally "yay" is restricted to women as an emphatic "yes".
Men in my neck of the woods say: "Yah it is!" or "Nay it's not!" when
contradicting.
By the way, I'm not "British", I'm English.
The "British" were Celts.
