Hey, yesterday I got the pleasant message that I've won a price
(aanmoedigingsprijs) in the literary competition that Cor Rorije mentioned
two weeks or
so ago. De IJsselacademie (Overijssel/Oost-Veluwe) and Het van
Deinse-instituut (Twente) have a bi-annual writing competion for Low Saxon
poets and autors,
this year's theme was Butterflies and one could send in a short story, or
three poems (I did the latter). They asked me to give my bank account number
but
I don't know how much I've won, but the honor is enough for me! Today I
received a booklet with the winning stories and poems and with a quite
professional jury report. And a butterfly broche... I'm very happy, because
I still feel that I'm very new in the writing business, started with it less
than a year ago... Ingmar
