Hé Marco,

Die Westelijk Frans-Vlaamse "a" klinkt als het engelse "trash" maar dan erg
en ongewoon lang.
In Millam (één van die verste dorpjes) zegt men "k'goan a lietje ( - a
little -) kà à à rten" (ik ga een beetje kaartspelen).
Vreemd genoeg klinkt die "a" in een taalgrensgebied ten zuiden van Hazebroek
dan weer als "Å“".
Een zinnetje als "er staat een koe achter de haag" klinkt in de buurt van
Morbeke " t'stoat è koe'e bacht'n d'œge".
Dat jammergenoeg verdwijnende Frans-Vlaams is een onwaarschijnlijke
taalschat vol archaismen.
